Abstract

In a roof ventilator for natural ventilation of large spaces through roof openings, the usable cross sectional area of an air inlet opening 2 is enlarged by means of profile strips 13 shaped and dimensioned as shown, which in use are arranged externally of the shaft 5 of the ventilator and by means of which it is possible to influence the airflow even before it enters the shaft in such a favourable way that flow turbulence, eddies and similar phenomena which restrict the air or gas flow are successfully prevented. <IMAGE>
