Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize combustion heat of atmosphere gas effectively without disturbing the atmosphere in a heating furnace, by providing a continuous nonoxidation heat treating furnace with seasoning chamber and a preheating chamber, by burning the atmosphere gas, which has been used, in a combustion chamber arranged above the preheating chamber, and by discharging the combustion gas to outside of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A seasoning chamber 10 and a preheating chamber 4 are installed in series to a continuous nonoxidation heat treating furnace 12, and a work to be treated is charged through the inlet 14 of the preheating chamber 4 by a belt conveyor 5. Above the preheating chamber 4, a combustion chamber 6 is partitioned by a heatresistant steel plate 15, and the combustion chamber 6 is equipped with plural air intake pipes 8 and an exhaust duct 9. The atmosphere gas discharged from the heating chamber 12 enters through the seasoning chamber 10 and the preheating chamber 4 into the combustion chamber 6, where it is burned with air introduced through the air intake pipes 8, and the waste gas is discharged through the exhaust duct 9. The steel plate 15 heated by the combustion radiates heat thereby preheating the work and improving the heat efficiency. Because the exhaust gas scarcely flows inversely into the heating chamber, degradation in hardening quality of the work dut to the disturbance of the atmosphere is prevented.
