Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a dust transportation power and to enable a smooth flow of dust, by a method wherein a cross section of a portion where a dust transportation line is connected to a dust charge chute connection portion is approximately equivalent to that of the dust transportation line.
CONSTITUTION: An inner surface 12 of a valve body 12 covering an opening 11, which is made for charging dust and in a portion where a dust air transportation line 1 is connected to a dust charge chute 9, is formed in a surface of an arc of a circle being concentric to the transportation line 1. The radius of curvature thereof is formed in a radius being slightly larger by the thickness of a packing 5 than an outer radius of the transportation line 1, and an upper surface 12b thereof is formed in a flat surface. In the case of the valve body 12 being closed, the transportation line is sealed by means of the packing 5, and dust charged in the chute is sorted on the valve body 12 with a connection rubber plate 8 preventing them from leaking to the outside. With the valve body 12 opened, the dust is charged into the transportation line 1 through the opening 11. This prevents from the occurrence of a turbulent flow of air at the chute connection portion and permits the efficient transportaion.
