Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a bearing apparatus having a coiled spring, wherein an uncoiled portion of the coiled spring is supported by a projection fixed at a set point relative to a bearing portion so that accidents due to wear of the coiled spring can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:A projection 10 supports a part of an uncoiled portion 4d of a coiled spring 4, the uncoiled portion 4b being present between an end of the spring 4 to be inserted in a receiving hole 6 and an end where the coiling is terminated. Thus the coiled portion of the coiled spring 4 adjacent to a bearing portion 1 for the coiled spring 4 will be retained spaced apart from a circumferential surface of a rotating shaft 2. The clockwise moment acting on the uncoiled portion 4d may be hindered by the projection 10, and therefore, the contact of the portion adjacent the end 4c of the spring 4 with the rotating shaft 2, and the sliding friction accompanied thereby can be avoided.
