Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture highly active fluorination catalyst which is hardly broken during reactivation, by treating chromium trioxide supported on aluminum fluoride with chlorofluorohydrocarbon at a specific temp.
CONSTITUTION: Chromium trioxide is supported on a support, aluminum fluoride, by impregnation etc., then it is treated with chlorofluorohydrocarbon or fluorohydrocarbon at 250W400°C temp. in order to produce a catalyst for fluorination. This catalyst keeps strong granular or pellet shape which is hardly broken during reactivation by heating, in addition, keeps sufficient activity.
