Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress unevenness in display even as to large-screen display by compensating fluctuations of cathode-ray tube characteristics by detecting the amount of a cathode-ray tube beam and then by providing negative feedback to make the amount constant. CONSTITUTION:Resistor 8, diode 9, transistor 11, and variable resistor 7 constitute a negative feedback circuit. This negative feedback circuit operates to make constant a maximum value of a cathode current, i.e. beam current flowing through resistance 8 in the switch-on period of transistor 2. Therefore, even if the emission effect of cathode-ray tube 1 changes, the amount of the beam in the emission period can be stabilized to an initial value determined by resistance 7.
