Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable both the blind and the unblind to obtain information from paper, by operating a key to actuate an ordinary type printer and a braille type printer to mark an ordinary type and a corresponding braille type on the same paper.
CONSTITUTION: When the simultaneous printer is put in operation and a desired key of a keyboard is pressed, a signal is supplied to an address encoder 137 to select a signal relating to a prescribed character, from a data memory 140 through a latch means 138. The latter signal is applied to a printer driver 144 to actuate a character printer or dot printer 32 to cause scanning to print the character on the obverse side of printing paper 136. The former signal is conducted from the latch means 138 to a data selector 148 to select a signal relating to a braille type corresponding to the character, from a data memory 150. The signal relating to the braille type is supplied to a printer driver 154 to actuate a braille type printer or solenoid 36 to impress the braille type on the reverse side of the printing paper 136.
