Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device, capable of performing safaly the fabrication of a liquefied gas tank and inspection and repair of the internal tank thereof without being influenced by environmental conditions, by installing mechanically on the inside surface of an outer tank a panel composed of an insulating material which is provided with a surface material having resistance to the contacting liquid and impermeability to gases.
CONSTITUTION: Insulating panels 3, surface of which is provided with a surface material 5 having resistance to the contacting liquid and impermeability to gases, are placed successively to be kept in contact with the inner surface of an outer tank 1, while panel-holding plates 7 are fitted into joints 6 formed by steps between each adjacent insulating panels 3. By utilizing these panels, bolts 8 and nuts 9 are mechanically attached successively. A joint insulating material 10 having satisfactory elasticity even at low temperature, is securely applied into the joints 6, and a joint surface material 11, which is equal in quality to the surface material 5, is attached to the surface of the joint insulating material. Thereby it is possible, to prevent a liquid from leaking out of the outer tank at the time of breakage of a main tank, and to facilitate inspection and repair of the inner tank and also to execute fabricating work without being influenced by environmental condition.
