Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a good quality of metallic sulfide powder coated with copper at a high manufacturing ratio in comparison with the existing procedure by coating mixed grains which are obtained by adding more basic metal powder than copper to metallic sulfide powder, with copper thin layer by means of cementation reaction adding copper salt solution or the like.
CONSTITUTION: More basic metal powder, such as zinc and iron, than copper and/ or their alloy powder is added while agitating to metallic sulfide grains with the suitable grain size such as molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfid (when crude and fine grains are mixed together, they should be pulverized to make even grains); while agitating the obtained mixture, a suitable quantity of copper salt solution (for example, copper sulfate) is added and mixed and, moreover, the copper salt solution including free acides is added to the mixture while agitating it. Thus, the thin layer of metallic copper generated by the cementation reaction between copper ions and more basic metal and alloy than copper is coated on the surface of metallic sulfide grains to improve the defects of the existing procedure and obtain metallic sulfide powder coated with copper at a high manufacturing ratio.
