Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate increasing or decreasing of an air flow regardless of an ambient temperature by a method wherein the first heat sensitive resistance element to detect the passing air flow and the ambient temperature and the second heat sensitive resistance element to detect the ambient temperature are provided to compare a difference between outputs of both elements. CONSTITUTION:The first heat sensitive resistance element 81, in which a value of resistance thereof is varied in accordance with variations of a passing air flow and an ambient temperature, and the second heat sensitive resistance element 91, in which a value of resistance thereof is varied in accordance with the variation of the ambient temperature, are provided at a down stream side of an air filter 3 mounted on an air suction port 2 of a main body 1 of an air-conditioning machine. Outputs A, B of both heat sensitive resistance elements 81, 91 are added to a comparator 12 and an comparating output is added to a control relay 13. According to this system, increasing and decreasing of the air flow may be discriminated without being affected by the ambient temperature, therefore, it is effective in detecting clogging of the air filter 3, and freeze of a heat exchanger or the like.
