Abstract
PURPOSE: To completely remove the sludge sedimented inside a suspension separator and raise the operation efficiency of the separator by providing laminary suspension separator having plural sections in a sedimentation basin inside a sludge discharger for suspension and shifting a sludge-collecting hopper toward the outlet of the separator.
CONSTITUTION: The laminary suspension separators having plural sections 16 is provided inside the sedimentation basin 17. Suspension is passed through the separator from one side to the other to sediment sludge within the sections 16, where larger particles sediment inside the sludge discharge pit 43 and then discharged from the valve 44. When sludge deposits inside the sections 16, the sludge collecting hopper 31 is moved to the positions of the sections 16aW16c on the upper part and sludge in the sections 16aW16c is discharged through the sludge collecting and discharging pipe 41. Then, the hopper 31 is lowered to the outlet position of the next section 16 and then moved sidewards likewise, and the sludge in all sections at the second stage from above is discharged. In the same way, sludge is collected from the section 16 on the third stage, the sludge in all sections 16 is collected and purified, and therefore the separating capability of each section for suspension can be raised.
