Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve separating efficiency and prevent clogging by a mechanism wherein the dry scrubber is provided with the first stage separator portion for removing coarse dust and wet dust and a plurality of the second stage separator portions for removing fine dust.
CONSTITUTION: When gas containing dust and waterdrops is introduced into the first stage cylinder drum 21 in the tangential direction from a gas inlet 1, the gas is changed into a turning current, and coarse dust and wet dust are separated by centrifugal force, flow down along the inwalls of a cylinder 21 and the cone portion 21a, are collected in the first stage dust bunker 23 from an opening 21b, and are extracted from the first stage dust discharge nozzle 18. The gas, from which the coarse dust, etc. are removed, rises in a riser pipe 15, and reaches the second stage separators 17 through a flow pipe 30, fine dust and fine waterdrops are removed, and rise in riser pipes 16, clarified gas is extracted from a gas outlet 2, and the fine dust separated is extracted from a discharge nozzle 19 through the second stage dust extracting pipe 13.
