Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent toner scattering by forming a cartridge packed with the toner into a shape having a feed port which opens when compressively deformed and is normally held closed. CONSTITUTION:A feeder body 1 is of a box shape provided with an upper opening 1a and a lower opening 1b. A feed roll 2 is provided to the lower opening 1b and a cartridge is supported rotatably via a seal 3c and a support 4 in the upper opening 1a. The cartridge 7 assumes a box shape and is formed with the feed port 12 into one piece with a pair of plate materials 11, 11 along a slit 10. A bottle section 9 is made of flexible and easy-to-discard material, for example, polyethylene, and concave grooves 13 in which guide bars 5 fit are made on both side walls 9b, 9b. If the bottle section 9 is pressed in the arrows (a), (a) from the direction of the slit 10, that is, from the sides of both end walls 9c, 9c, the feed port 12 will open.
