Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the ink jet by a method wherein the impressed voltage of an electromagnetic valve is kept high for a certain period of time and thereby the temperature of the valve is maintained at the saturated level in an ink jet printer of a type of device wherein the ink supplied to a nozzle is controlled by the electromagnetic valve. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic valve 5, controlling the supply of ink to an ink jet nozzle 6, interrupts the flow route of ink by a plunger 11 until the pressure of ink from an air chamber 4 reaches a fixed level. When the rated voltage is impressed continuously on the electromagnetic valve 5, the temperature of the valve 5 rises as shown by B and, the property of ink is changed, and a displacement occurs in printing dots.
