Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a novel compound selenonickel ferrite useful as a semiconductor conversion element by simultaneously applying a predetermined pressure and a predetermined temp. to a mixture consisting of nickel, iron and selenium in a predetermined molar ratio and by holding the state.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure and a temp. required to cause a reaction and a crystal structure change, e.g. 3.5W6.5GPa pressure and 800W1,000°C temp. are simultaneously applied to a mixture consisting of nickel, iron and selenium in the 1:2: 4 molar ratio, and these conditions are held. Thus, a novel compound selenonickel ferrite NiFe2Se4 is obtd.
