Abstract

PURPOSE: To position an ignition plug sparking section in the center of a combustion chamber while bettering the weight balance of an engine by arranging a cam shaft having cams at both ends thereof passing between inlet and exhaust valves, a locker shaft parallel to the cam shaft and a hole for loading or unloading a ignition plug.
CONSTITUTION: A cam shaft 34 in which cams 42 and 44 are formed at both ends thereof passing between two inlet valves 22 and 22 two exhaust valves 24 and 24 both provided on a cylinder head 10, an inlet side locker shaft 46 and an exhaust side locker shaft 48 are provided. Holes 20 for loading or unloading an ignition plug 14 are formed on the cylinder head 10 and a cylinder head cover 18. The ignition plug 14 is inserted through the holes 20 and mounted so that a sparking section 16 is positioned at the upper center of a combustion chamber 12. In addition, locker arms 50 and 60 each on the inlet and exhaust sides are arranged in symmetry to each other so that the weight of the engine is well balanced.
