Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to record in a changed magnification, by a method wherein an original and a recording blank are rolled around drums which are coaxial, and after a signal generated resulting from the photoelectric scanning is once stored in a memory, a reading time is changed, and a lateral movement ratio of a light-receiving part to a recording needle is changed.
CONSTITUTION: An original-rolling drum 1 and a blank-rolling drum 2 are turned in a coaxial state. A photoelectric light-recieving part 5 and a recording needle 6 are enabled to independently move in the subscanning direction. One complete turn of the signal from the light-receiving part 5 is divided into thousands bits by means of pulses from an oscillator 7, and the bits are address-assigned as a digital signal, being once stored in a memory 8. In the case of enlargement (contraction) recording, a pulse width of a reading address signal is widened (narrowed) more than that at a writing time. Or, the scanning direction is enlarged (contracted) through lengthening (shortening) of a time, during which a recording data is outputted, resulting from the decreases (increase) in the frequency of the oscillator 7 for address assignment. The enlargement (contraction) is conducted by changing a moving speed of the light-receiving part 5 and the recording needle 6.
