Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a driving circuit for the switching SW element having a high working speed, by providing the push-pull PP circuit which is driven by the current switching differential (CML) circuit and then turning on and off the SW element with the output of the PP circuit. CONSTITUTION:CML circuit 2 consists of transistors (TR)Q3 and Q4 connected differentially, TRQ5 of the constant current source and resistance R5 each. And the collector outputs of TRQ3 and Q4 drive the SW element via PP circuits 3 and 4. Circuits 3 and 4 consists of TRQ6 and Q7 plus TRQ8 and Q9 respectively, and the drive signals are led out from the emitter common connecting point via resistances R8 and R9 each. The emitter outputs of TRQ6 and Q8 have just to be set to the levels by which the saturating action can be secured for the SW element when the SW element is turned on. Thus the current of circuit 2 can be reduced. On the other hand, TRQ7 and Q9 are turned on when the SW element is turned off. Thus the stored carrier of the SW element due to the saturating action can be absorbed suddenly into TRQ7 and Q9 each to increase the SW velocity.
