Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cold rolled high-tensile galvanized steel strip having low yield ratios by working a slab of steel contg. specific ratios of C, Mn, Cr, Si, Al to a cold-rolled steel strip, heating the same at specific annealing temp. and subjecting the same to galvanize. CONSTITUTION:A slab of the steel consisting of 0.02-0.15% C, 1.6-3.0% Mn, 0.1-1.0% Cr, <=0.1% Si, 0.01-0.10% Al and the balance Fe with unavoidable inpurities and satisfying Mn%+1/2Cr%>=1.9 is hot-rolled, pickled and cold-rolled to obtain a cold-rolled steel strip. Thence, it is heated at annealing temp. of Ac1 transformation point-Ac2 transformation point with an in-line annealing type continuous galvanizing device and is immediately passed through a galvanizing bath, whereby it is plated. The average cooling rates up to the execution of the hot dipping after the in-line annealing are preferably about 2-8 deg.C/sec and the average cooling rates down to about 350 deg.C after the plating are preferably about 3-8 deg.C/sec.
