Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool the generation of heat of a high-frequency generating source effectively while conserving power by cooling the generation of heat of the source by utilizing water in a water tank in a device with a steam generating mechanism which heats water in the water tank and generates steam.
CONSTITUTION: A high-frequency heating apparatus is provided with a heating chamber 1 opened and closed by means of a door 2, and the antenna 4 of a high- frequency generating source 9 is projected into the heating chamber 1. A water tank 7, the inside thereof has a water quantity detecting means 8, is arranged to the upper section of the high-frequency generating source 9. The water tank 7 is connected to a lower steam generating mechanism 5 building in a heater 6 through a flow rate adjusting means 11, and steam generated at the steam generating mechanism 5 is ejected into the heating chamber 1 from an ejecting port 13 of a side wall of the heating chamber 1. According to the above-mentioned constitution, the high- frequency generating source 9 can be cooled effectively without depending upon a cooling fan, etc. while power used at the heater 6 can be economized.
