Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct a document with a simple operation, by inputting delimiter information for every word input. CONSTITUTION:Kana (Japanese syllabary)-Kanji (Chinese character) conversion control part 6 performs various control to transfer the Kana character input, which is transferred through keyboard control part 5, to screen control part 14 for the purpose of displaying this input on display part 12 or stored this input in key storage buffer 7 or instruct the file read control for dictionary file 16. This control part 6 is provided with delimiter code generator 6-1, delimiter code detector 6-2, and character number comparator 6-3. Delimiter code generator 6-1 generates the delimiter code indicating the delimiter part of words, and this delimiter code is stored in document buffer 17 together with words. Delimiter code detector 6-2 is used for, for example, calculation of the number of words. Character number comparator 6-3 compares the number of characters before correction with the number of characters after correction when the document is corrected.
