Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the fin to be fixed tightly to the tube and to improve the heat conductivity of the tube by a method wherein a filamentous brazing material is fitted in a guide groove formed on a short pipe section of the fin and the brazing material is fused to thereby braze the fin to the tube.
CONSTITUTION: The filamentous brazing material 6 is fixed on the outer periphery of the tube 1 along the longitudinal direction of the tube. Then the brazing material 6 is slide-fitted into the guide groove 5 formed on the short pipe section 3 of the fin 2 and the fin is gradually fitted about the outer periphery of the tube 1. The tube with the fin is then heated in a furnace to thereby braze the fin 2 to the tube 1.
