Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a double-structured pattern electrode by sintering a mixture of a low melting point glass blended with a metal powder to make a pattern made of the mixture to be formed on a transparent electrode film adhering to a light-transmitting insulating base plate, before etching is performed on the transparent electrode film by use of the sintered pattern as a mask. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 12 made of tin oxide is formed on a glass base plate 11 by spraying a SnCl2 solution on that. An organic solvent solution containing both gold powder and a low melting point glass powder consisting of lead oxide and boron oxide, is printed on the film 12 with a metal mesh screen interposed between the film 12 and the print, thereby a given pattern 13 being formed. The base plate 11 is heated and sintered to make an expanded glass layer 14 and a solidified gold electrode 15 to be formed. After that, etching on the base plate 11 is carried out in hydrochloric acid by using the low melting point glass layer as a mask, thereby a transparent electrode 16 being formed. Consequently, a double- structured electrode consisting of a low-conductivity opaque electrode 15 and a high- conductivity transparent electrode 16 can be constituted by one patterning.
