Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an oil sealing rubber, having a high PV value and little abrasion, and slightly damaging the opposite surface, by incorporating fibers made from a fluororesin containing a filler in a raw material mixture for a synthetic rubber.
CONSTITUTION: For example, 100pts.wt. raw material for a synthetic rubber is mixed with 0.5pt.wt. sulfur as a crosslinking agent, 1.5pts.wt. antioxidant, 5pts.wt. zinc flower, 5pts.wt. adhesive mass, 30pts.wt. carbon black, 35pts.wt. extender, 1pt.wt. crosslinking assistant and 3.5pts.wt. vulcanizaion accelarator respectively. 100pts.wt. resultant mixture is then incorporated and kneaded with preferably 3W20wt% fibers made from a material consisting of a fluororesin filled with a filler essentially. The resultant mixture is further introduced into a mold and hot-pressed at 180°C for 6min and vulcanized to give the aimed product. The fluororesin fibers are preferably mixed with carbon black previously and if necessary treated with metallic sodium.
