Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a rubber material hich is suitable as packing and in which adhesion of the rubber to fibers is improved, by a method wherein a mixt. of a carboylatex nitrile rubber and carbon black is filled with a fiber filler to prepare a master butch, and a rubber is filled with the master batch.
CONSTITUTION: A masticated carboxylated nitrile rubber is filled with carbon black, and then with a fiber filler such as Aramid fiber. The mixt. is kneaded to finely divide the fiber, whereby a master batch is prepd. A rubber such as nitrile rubber is filled with the master batch to obtain the desired rubber material. In this way, adhesion of the rubber to fibers is improved. Lowering in the performance of the rubber material due to exposure of the fiber in a broken part or in a worn part of the rubber material is effectively inhibited.
