Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve stability of welding arc and property of molten slag by limiting the composition of welding rod coating agent such as carbonates, metallic fluorides, metallic oxides, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This is an arc welding rod made by applying a coating agent at a coating ratio of 25W50% around the circumference of a core wire of mild steel. The coating agent is made by mixing 15W45wt% sume of one or more kinds of carbonates; 2W30wt% sum of one or more kinds of metal oxides; 0.5W10wt% sum of one or more kinds of coating agent; and 1W8wt% Si; 0.5W8wt% Cr; 3W25wt% Mo; 1W7wt% B; 0.5W5wt% graphite; ≥8wt% C from alloying element as deoxydizers and alloying elements.
