Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain excellent performance by providing a flexible substrate and a resin layer as a signal recording surface on the base, and by further providing a reflective layer and protective layer on the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:On substrate 3 of video disk 1 made of a flexible sheetlike member, resin layer 4, reflective layer 5 and protective layer 6 are provided. The surface of a stamper is transferred to resin layer 4. Substrate 3 has 0.05-0.5mm. thickness and resin layer 4 has 0.02-0.03mm. thickness; and reflective film 5 made of Al, etc. has a micron order thickness, and protective layer 6 has 0.01-0.03mm. thickness. Consequently, the total thickness of disk 1 is 0.1-0.5mm. and extremely small, providing flexibility. Therefore, high-precision signal reproduction by a laser beam is possible.
