CONSTITUTION:By agitating and mixing 100pts.wt. iron powder or the like of 250-400 mesh as a carrier and 0.01-2pts.wt. phthalocyanine pigment by means of a tumbler agitator or the like, the surface of the carrier is coated with powder of said pigment by dispersion. This coated carrier is mixed with toner contg. polystyrene resin, a pigment such as carbon black and a dye such as nigrosine to prepare a two-component developer. This developer gives an image of high quality even after repeating endurance tests >=100,000 times, and the carrier is hardly polluted by the toner and undergoes little reduction in the triboelectric charging property.
