Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of interference due to both modes: cassette mode and manual inserton mode in a copying apparatus by actuating only the prescribed driving system by way of control circuit according to the operations of switches. CONSTITUTION:When a copying switch SW is operated, a high level signal is applied to a control circuit CC, and a pickup roller driving circuit PDC, then a resistor roller driving circuit RDC are enabled and copying paper is conveyed to a transfer position. At the same time, the control outputs OUT1-OUT3 of the circuit CC rise to a high level, and close AND gates AND3, AND4 together with AND gates AND1, AND2. Since this prevents the detection output of a microswitch MS1 for detecting jam of manually inserted transfer paper from being applied to the circuit CC, a slip roller forward driving circuit is not enabled and the manual insertion mode is kept inhibitied unitl the transfer paper from the cassette ends copying. Similarly, in the manual insertion mode, the circuit PDC is disabled via the switch MS1 and the circuit CC and the feeding of paper from the cassette is inhibited, thus the interference of both modes is prevented.
