Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately diagnose operational conditions of pumps by inputting the number of pumps in operation along with a discharged outflow of pumps into a diagnostic device.
CONSTITUTION: Variable speed motors 1aW1c which drive pumps 2aW2c are connected with a detector 5 of the number of pumps in operation, and an outflow signal generator 4 is installed in the flow passage of discharged outflow from the pumps 2aW2c, and further, both said detector 5 and said generator 4 are connected to a diagnostic device 9. This allows a consideration of the maximum and the minimum load corresponding to the number of pumps in operation as well as a diagnosis stressed on the discharged outflow. Accordingly, during water supply with a variable speed motor driven pump, an abnormal outflow and pressure of the pump, abnormality of a cut-off operation and water supply system may be detected with every rotational frequency, leading to an accurate diagnosis of exact conditions of pump operation.
