Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the steady threshold level as well as a large noise margin, by inserting the switching element in series between the FF basic circuit and the constant current source.
CONSTITUTION: Transistor TR14 which functions as the switching element is provided. The emitter and the base of TR14 are connected to constant current source 1 and the reference voltage source respectively. And the collector is connected to the emitter which is connected in common to TR2, 3 which form the FF basic circuit and hold the information. Then the threshold level is decided by the potential of the reference voltage source which is applied to the base of TR14 for the input signal to be applied to the bases of the 2nd TR pair 4 and 5 and for writing the information. Accordingly, this level can be fixed at a proper value. At the same time, the potential of the reference voltage source is set properly, for example, to the value lower enough than the potential that the collector of the transistor of the input side can hold. As a result, the TR can be operated in the nonsaturated region to secure the input signal level having an ample noise margin.
