Abstract

These movements generate a rolling load which is transmitted from the chocks 8, 9, 5, 6, through the beams 10, 13 to the roll's vertical position adjusters 11, 15 so that the distance between the loading points does not generate any eccentric bearing load. Besides, since the beams 10, 13 are respectively provided with the thrust blocks 10' and 13', the roll chocks 8, 9, 5, 6 sufficiently endure the bending moment owing to the distance between the loading points.
