Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain armature winding with a reduced insulation distance between phase windings by arranging an electrostatic shield conductor on a side not facing a winding end coil, adjacent to the said coil and equalizing the electric potential of the said conductor with the electric potential of the winding end coil. CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic shield conductors 31, 32 formed with insulative coat such as insulation paper 41, etc. wound around a metal conductor 40 having a large curvature radius of conductor cross-section angular part, adjacent to winding end coils 25, 26 on the external most side of each phase winding, are provided. One end of the conductor 31 is connected to one end of the coil 25 and one end of the conductor 32 to one end of the coil 26 so that each connections may have the same electric potential. Thus it is possible to minimize the insulation distance between phase windings and therefore, provide a compact and light-weight equipment as a whole.
