Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the durability by preventing sensitized coloring matter from deteriorating in repetitibe use, by incorporating an oxidation inhibitor in a photoconductive layer made of zinc oxide, sensitized coloring matter and binder resin. CONSTITUTION:With 100pts.wt. zinc oxide, 0.05-1pts.wt. sensitized coloring matter (e.g. rose Bengal, eosin, etc.), 5-40pts.wt. binder resin (e.g. styrol resin, epoxy resin, etc.), and a 0.01-4pts.wt. oxidation inhibitor [e.g. dibutylhydroxytoluene, 4, 4' thio-bis(6-6-butyl-3 methyl phenol), etc.] are blended and a dispersing agent is dispersed to obtain a photoconductive layer coating material. Next, the said coating material is applied on a conductive base to a thickness of 5-100mum and then dried to form a photoconductive layer. Thus, even if this is used repeatedly hundreds or thousands times or more, its sensitivity never deteriorates and excellent-contrast pictures are obtained.
