Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the sample with a high precision without generation of powdery dust, by installing many partitions at equal intervals on the bottom face of the vessel and by providing sample exhaust ports on every proper partitions and by moving the sample horizontally proper times. CONSTITUTION:Vessel 1 is held horizontally, and the powdery sample is supplied to space 9 from the sample supply equipment, and the stopper is removed to incline vessle 1. By this inclination, the sample is drifted toward space 10 and is divided by partition 8 into sections 11 provided with exhaust ports 12 and sections 11 not provided with exhaust ports. The sample charged in the former sections 12 is taken out through exhaust ports 12, hopper 15, and conduit 16, and the sample charged in the latter sections 11 advances to space 10. Consequently, if exhaust ports 12 are installed in every other section 11, a half of the sample is taken out from conduit 16. Next, when vessle is inclined in the reverse direction, the half quantity is taken out from conduit 16 similarly. This operation is repeated to reduced the sample as desired.
