CONSTITUTION: The titled high-tensile hot-rolled steel plate consist of, by wt., 0.04W0.08% C, 1.0W1.8% Mn, 0.02W0.06% Nb, 0.001W0.0025% Ca or 0.003W 0.008% Ce with the balance practically Fe, and Si, S and P in the plate are essentially restricted to ≤0.10% Si, ≤0.008% S and ≤0.012% P. This plate is a 50W 60kg/mm2 class high tensile steel plate and has superior flash butt weldability and workability. Accordigly, when it is used as a material for a wheel rim, the weight of the rim is remarkably reduced, and considerably enhanced fuel economy is attained.
