Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish a stable detection of disconnection in a thermocouple free from effect of commercial frequency by warning it through a detection high resistance or the like with an AC signal of a frequency different from the commercial power source frequency through a DC cutting capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When an FET6 is turned on, AC current of 1kHz or the like with a frequency different from the commercial power source is fed from an AC signal source by way of a capacitor 4 and a detection resistance of a high impedance provided for cutting DC current to detect burnout in a thermocouple 1. The impedance of the resistance 3 is set higher than the impedance of an equivalent resistance of the thermocouple 1 and hence, the output corresponding to both impedance ratios of an amplifier 8 is very small while no burnout occurs while larger when it occurs. Therefore, a stable detection of burnout can be done by way of a noise component removing BFP9, a comparator 10 and the like free from effect of commercial power source frequency thereby affording a necessary warning.
