Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect an early fault of a transmission/reception switch and then cut off the transmission, by securing a simultaneous detection of both the fault of the electric power transmitted to an antenna via the transmission/reception switch and the fault of the electric power that leaks out to a receiver. CONSTITUTION:A part of the pulse electric wave of the microwave sent from the transmitter 1 is supplied to a comparator circuit 8 via a wave detector 3. At the same time, the electric wave transmitted toward the antenna 5 through the transmission/reception switch 4 is supplied to the circuit 8 via a wave detector 7. In case a fault arises to the switch 4, the circuit 8 delivers an output. The electric power leaked to the receiver 9 from the transmitter 1 is supplied to the comparator circuit 13 via a wave detector 12 to be compared with the reference value. The comparator circuit 13 delivers an output when the leak electric power is detected. The outputs of the comparators 8 and 13 are applied to the transmission cut-off signal generating circuit 17 via an OR circuit 16.
