Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the lubricity of an electrophotographic sensitive layer consisting of a photoconductive substance and a binder resin and enhance the cleanability of the layer by dispersing polytetra-fluoroethylene powder in the layer. CONSTITUTION:Using a 1-5pts.wt. dispersion aid such as a fluorine-contg. surfactant, polyvinyl butyral resin or silicone oil, 1-50pts.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene is dispersed in a material for forming an electrophotographic sensitive layer consisting of 100pts.wt. photoconductive powder of ZnO and a 5-50pts.wt. binder resin such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate resin. The resultant dispersion is applied to form a photoconductive layer.
