PURPOSE:To reduce a mechanical moving part and to enable to speed up an optical system scanning mechanism, by providing the 1st pulse generating means producing a pulse signal relating to the 1st drive section which is standardized. CONSTITUTION:The 1st drive section 20 is directly or indirectly fitted with the 1st pulse generating means 22 consisting of encoders, and pulse signals are sequentially generated in relation with the operation of the 1st drive section 20. The signal output from the 1st pulse generating means 22 (frequency in fb) is wave-shaped at the amplifier (including wave shape circuit) 23 and then input to the 1st phase loked loop PLL-1. Thus, for example, the method controlling the revolution of a motor and stopping it at the home position are used. Thus, since only few mechanical moving parts are required for this magnification controller, the high speed optical system scanning mechanism is realized.
