Abstract
PURPOSE:To introduce whole combustion exhaust gas in a heating chamber to preheating and decrease heat loss by communicating the plural chambers which are segmented to above and below sections by partition walls in a heat treatment furnace with the passages for a strip and the passages for the combustion exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a heating furnace 5 is heated to predetermined temp. by the combustion of burners 8, and exhaust gas by this combustion is allowed to ascend and flow into a preheating chamber 4 through exhaust gas passages 7. After this exhaust gas heats up the chamber 4, it is exhausted 11 to the outside of the furnace. On the other hand, a strip S is conducted from the arrow (a) direction to the chamber 4 where it is preheated, thence it is heated to predetermined temp. in the chamber 5 and is thereafter discharged to outside of the furnace from the arrow (b) direction. In the figure, 6 denotes partition walls, 10 strip passage and 12 dampers, respectively.
