PURPOSE:To miniaturize a cleaning device and save means for maintenance and inspection by using a conductive brush for the destaticizing means of said device. CONSTITUTION:A conductive brush 12 contacting the photosensitive face of a drum 1 surface is provided in place of a destaticizing electrode to a cleaning device 8, and this brush 12 is electrically grounded. The brush 12 is such grounded state is brought into contact with the drum 1 surface, whereby the charge having charged on the drum 1 surface is grounded and removed.
