Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform excavation for the underground wall without using partition tools by a method wherein a longitudinal hole equivalent to a single element is excavated at intervals, concrete is cast, later the intermediate ground is excavated and concrete is cast into the intermediate longitudinal hole.

CONSTITUTION: The intermediate ground is left unexcavated, a longitudinal hole equivalent to one element for construction of the continuous underground wall is excavated at intervals and, by direct casting of concrete to two longitudinal holes, two underground wall elements 1 and 3 are constructed. Next, while the end parts 1a and 3a of opposed inside element surfaces of mutual elements 1 and 3 are cut and both parts are thereby formed into finished end parts 1c and 3c, a longitudinal hole H is excavated between the end parts 1c and 3c in the ground between two elements 1 and 3 by the lowering motion of the main body 4 of the excavating device. Then, concrete is cast in the longitudinal hole H to form an intermediate underground wall element 2 and thus the underground walls 1W3 in a serial body are constructed.
