Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely restrict a position of a bearing when it is fixed inside a bearing housing made of a substance whose thermal expansivity is different from that of the bearing, by disposing a ring member whose coefficiency of thermal expansion is higher than them between them.
CONSTITUTION: When a crankshaft 6 of an engine is supported by a roller bearing 3 which is inserted under pressure in a crankshaft passing hole 2 of a crankcase 1, a ring member 10 is put between the internal face of the crankshaft passing hole 2 and an outer ring 5a so as to be slidable in the circumferential direction. The ring member 10 is made of a substance, like plastic resin for example, having a higher coefficiency of thermal expansion than the crankcase 1 or the bearing 3. A separation part 11 which traverses the ring member 10 on the bias with respect to the circumferential direction is partially formed in the ring member 10 along its circumferential direction. If the case 1 may be expanded to produce a clearance between the bearing 3, said clearance can be absorbed by the expanded ring member 10, thereby assuring restriction of a position of the bearing 3.
