Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate a reference voltage having a large temperature coefficient, by amplifying a voltage, given a temperature coefficient by making use of a diode, by using an operational amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The inverting input (-) of operational amplifier 1 is provided with input resistance R1, feedback resistance R2 is connected between the inverting input (-) and output, and forward diode D1 is connected in series to input resistance R1 to apply voltage Vr stabilized through temperature compensation. Further, constant voltge V0 generated by dividing stabilized voltage Vr by resistances R3 and R4 is applied to noninverting input (+) of operational amplifying circuit 1 to develop reference voltage Vref at the output. Output reference voltage Vref can be found by solving equation I, where the forward voltage of diode D1 is denoted as VP. The temperature coefficient of reference voltage Vref can be set to a value multiplied by R2/R1 times. Consequently, a random large temperature coefficient can be obtained by properly setting the ratio of resistance R2/R1.
