Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned stencil paper improved for plating and printing properties by adding amino radical to a surface recording layer containing a binder, semiconductor powder and conductive fine powder.
CONSTITUTION: The solution of a binder such as PVC and PS is mixed with semiconductive powder of ZnO, TiO2 or the like and with 2W50wt% (in relation to solid components) of a compound containing amino radical such as urea and tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane, and further with conductive fine powder of carbon black, graphite, etc., a disperser and a sedimentation preventing agent as occasion calls, and is dispersed by a ball mill or the like, whereby a coating liquid for forming the surface recording layer is obtained. Next, a stencil layer is coated with the coating liquid so as for the to be 0.5W5.0g/m2 and dried and thus the surface recording layer is provided. By this method, the stencil paper wherein round holes having diameters fitted for passing of printing ink are dispersed uniformly is obtained, whereby the density of an image on a printed article is increased and the resolving property thereof is also improved.
