Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency and simplify the assembling line by setting concentively the lower parts on a transfer pallet and assembling these parts at the same position intensively. CONSTITUTION:The pallet 6 temporarily set with the parts 10-13 and 15 is transferred under a main line 1 to a docking area. The pallet 6 is lifted up by a lifting means together with a truck 9 to a position facing the lower surface of a body 4 also transferred along the main line 1. Then, the pallet 6 is set at a predetermined position under the body 4 with pawls 16 engaged with a hanger 3. After this setting, the lifting means goes down removing the truck 9 from the pallet 6. The parts which are concentrically set on the pallet 6 are assembled to the body lower surface by an assembler. At the completion of the parts assembling, the engagement between the pawls 16 and hanger 3 is released at a predetermined position.
