Abstract
PURPOSE: To let the evaporation treatment of scrubbing waste liquid with simple equipment at low cost by drying the waste liquid after scrubbing the hydrogen chloride gas in incineration furnace exhaust gas with sodium hydroxide solution by the heat of the incineration furnace itself.
CONSTITUTION: The incineration ash produced as a result of incineration of municipal waste in an incineration furnace 1 is stored in an ash storage vessel 2 by a conveyor 5. Since the exhaust gas contains soot and hydrogen chloride gas, it is passed through an air preheater 6 and gas cooling tower 7, then through an electric dust collector 8, where it is separated and removed of soot. The exhaust gas is then induced by an induction ventilator 10 and is passed through a boiler 11 or is entered directly into a quenching tower 3, where the hydrogen chloride gas in the exhaust gas is made to NaCl by the spray of about 20% concentration of NaOH aqueous solution. Further in a scrubbing tower 4 as well, it is similarly treated to get rid of hydrogen chloride gas. The scrubbing waste liquid is once stored in a storage vessel 12 and tank 18 where its salt concentration is made to 15W20%, after which it is sprayed together with compressed air 22 into the incineration furnace 1 or flue to let NaCl, etc. in the waste liquid crystallize. The crystals are then captured by the electric dust collector 8.
