Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce gas leakage to almost a negligible degree and enable to control the capacity of a compressor securely by forming a connecting hole provided on a part of a compressing chamber so that the hole can be opened and closed securely by a valve corresponding to a movable mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: If a three way valve 15 is changed over to connect a control pipe 16 with a low pressure pipe 28 and the low gas pressure of a suction pipe 13 is applied to one end 35 of the movable piston 30 of a control mechanism 14, pressure there becomes the same as that at the other end 36 of the movable piston 30, and so pressing force to a pressing spring 31 disappears and the movable piston 30 is pressed against the end 38 of an outer cylinder 33. As a result, gas sucked from a suction pipe 13 to a compressing chamber 17 is compressed by a piston 7 and a part of the compressed gas is bypassed from a connecting hole 10 via a bypass pipe 12 to the suction pipe 23 and decreases the amount of gas discharged from a discharge pipe 23. By so doing, the capacity of a compressor 1 can be controlled securely without causing gas leakage.
