Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a difficulty due to scale of a conventional method and enhance the anticorrosive effect by adding an alkaline aq. soln. or the like contg. alkylene biscarboxylic acids of a specified formula and arom. carboxylic acids in a predetermined ratio to water.
CONSTITUTION: To water is added an alkaline aq. soln. or an alkaline alcoholic soln. contg. 20W80pts.wt. of one or more kinds of alkylene biscarboxylic acids of the formula (where n is an integer of 6W26) and 80W20pts. of one or more kinds of arom. carboxylic acids. 10W1pt. of one or more kinds of heterocyclic nitrogen cpds. may be added to 90W99pts. in total of the acids, and a predetermined amt. of a specified high molecular cpd. may be addded furthermore. A difficulty due to sludge of a conventional phosphate adding method is eliminated, and by the synergistic effect of the above-mentioned chemical agents a superior anticorrosive effect on metal in water can be maintained.
